PZL-Świdnik negotiates four-year contracts for delivery of new parts and overhauls of helicopters for Polish Ministry of Defence

PZL-Świdnik is the only Polish OEM in the helicopter industry with fill capabilities in design, development, production and maintenance of helicopters throughout their lifecycle.

With the fleet of helicopters operated by all types of the Polish Armed Forces in mind, talks were held on 11-12 February 2021 between representatives of PZL-Świdnik and the 3rd Regional Logistic Base in Kutno (3.RBLog). The subject of the arrangements were four-year contracts for the supply of new spare parts and overhaul of helicopters owned by the Polish Ministry of National Defence.

PZl-Świdnik supports all activities of the Polish Ministry of Defence to ensure the full operational capability of the helicopter fleet. Therefore, as part of future contracts, deliveries of parts for W-3, SW-4 and Mi-2 military helicopters operated by all types of the Polish Armed Forces will be secured.

The agreed contracts will be signed in the first quarter of 2021 and their value, including the option right, will amount to 89.6 million PLN.

PZL-Świdnik is the largest supplier of helicopter for the Polish Army. Currently, about 60 percent of the helicopter fleet equipped by the Polish Army comes from PZL-Świdnik. Experience and long-standing cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, as well as the participation of Świdnik in international programs through Leonardo helicopters, of which PZL-Świdnik is a part, makes the plant a leader in the helicopter industry and historically, as one of the few plants in the world, it has been creating an important logistical base for the armed forces of Poland, with full production capacity of new helicopters in 100 percent in Poland.
