SW-4

Manoeuverable and Compact

The SW-4 meets the market need for a multi-purpose, light single-engine helicopter that combines excellent performance, flight envelope and cabin space. Thanks to its flexible characteristics, the helicopter provides a cost-effective and capable solution for utility and training operations.

Main Features

Safety first

The cockpit features dual controls, while the cockpit and cabin offer outstanding all-round visibility, increasing safety and VFR situational awareness. The SW-4 features exceptionally forgiving handling and autorotation behaviour for maximum safety and quality of training to excel in a variety of operational conditions.

Flexible and comfortable

The SW-4 can carry up to five people including pilot(s) and features the most comfortable passenger cabin and cockpit in its category with crashworthy seating. Two sliding doors provide access to the large cabin, which provides ample legroom. A separate baggage compartment in the rear fuselage expands available space and mission versatility.

Optimised for training

The SW-4 is ideally suited to basic and advanced training missions. The helicopter enables VFR flights, day and night flights (including compliance with IFR flight rules), the use of a flight data recorder (FDR), night vision goggle (NVG) compatibility, emergency simulation module, training in autorotation and external cargo transfer.

Easily reconfigured

The functional cabin layout is designed for high operational flexibility, and quick and easy reconfiguration. It can be adapted for operations with four passengers and one pilot, three passengers and two pilots, or cargo operations with either one or two pilots.

Practical cargo solution

The SW-4 offers a practical cargo transport solution and can carry up to 323kg (712lb) in the cabin rear and 90kg (198lb) in the cabin’s forward section, as well as an additional 150kg (331lb) in the luggage compartment.
